National Reconciliation Week

Disability Mobility & Services acknowledges National Reconciliation Week, held from 27 May to 3 June each year. This is an important time to reflect on Australia’s shared history, recognise the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and continue working towards respectful relationships, understanding, and reconciliation.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and provide support. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and recognise the ongoing connection First Nations peoples have to Country, culture, community, and identity.

At Disability Mobility & Services, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, families, staff, and communities. We believe reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility that requires listening, learning, respect, and meaningful action.

This week, we encourage our team and wider community to take the time to learn more about First Nations histories, cultures and achievements, and to reflect on how we can all contribute to a more inclusive and respectful future.

Together, we continue to walk towards reconciliation with respect, understanding, and unity.
