There are around 4.3 million Australians who have a disability. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia’s first national scheme for people with a disability.
It provides funding to individuals to enable them to access supports and services to enrich and improve their daily lives. It promotes and encourages the participant, as much as possible, to lead an autonomous life. It gives the participant choice and control on how their services are used and managed.
